Popular due to its moderate ascent and descent (also suitable for a family hike). The south ridge has cult status and the easier and well-drilled tours in the Kalbling north-west face are perfect for alpine beginners. The Reichenstein itself offers climbing points up to the 2nd UIAA level of difficulty via its normal route

Once the 2,5-hour walk to the hut has been made, the summit can be reached with a "via ferrata", with top climbing routes, or the easiest way, with the normal route.
